2022 is off to a hot start for the Rebels Lacrosse Club (Rebels LC), after announcing a partnership with Greg Gurenlian and his Faceoff Academy, as well as the start of the Rebels LC National program. The exciting news continues to flow for the club, as we are proud to announce Joey Sankey's Team 11 as a Rebels National Partner Program. As one of the most revered names in lacrosse history, the Rebels are delighted to be able to have Sankey and his Team 11 as one of the first partner programs of Rebels National.
Joey Sankey played for the prestigious UNC Tar Heels under Coach Breschi and ended his tenure there as the all-time leading point scorer for the school. He was also a three-time USILA All-American, and selected All-ACC three times as well. His knowledge of the game is unprecedented and coincides with the philosophy of what the Rebels organization is looking for as it continues to grow into a nationally respected powerhouse.
In 2016, Joey and the Sankey Family started the Team 11 program with the goal in mind to provide players in the surrounding Philadelphia area with the most elite level of training and development possible for players of any age. The program is extremely committed to positional development, which has been the driving force in their growth and ensuing success.
“With the launch of our Rebels National Program, came our Rebels Partner Program. We have identified like-minded clubs throughout the country that we can partner with to offer their club, coaches, players and families the ultimate value of being attached to a National Program,” Mike Brennan, owner of Rebels LC added.
Sankey went on to mention, “Team 11 is constantly evaluating how we can improve our program for our players, and we feel that partnering with Rebels National will elevate our players and program to the next level.” That same mentality and passion for the game is what has grown both organizations to what they are today; the joining of the two forces, along with other partner programs throughout the country is what Rebels National was created to do. Sankey Lacrosse has been running camps in the PA area for the last few years with great results. Rebels National with its partners, looks to create a collaborative effort that can help achieve the ultimate goal of running camps and clinics throughout the country to help identify and develop talent of players of all ages and backgrounds.
